On set in Hydra, Greece with Barbara Dronnier

Join us on set for Vacation '26 and uncover the island's hidden gems, as revealed by #steeleGIRLS Barbara Dronnier.

No cars. No clocks.
Just stone paths, sea air and a lunch that stretches as long as you'll let it.

We asked Barbara Dronnier to walk us through her perfect day on the island of Hydra as we shot our Vacation 26 Campaign.

Your perfect day in Hydra?

I start with a morning swim in crystal-clear water. Then, a long lunch to the sound of the waves before getting lost in the stone alleyways, and finally watching the sunset in the evening.

A hidden gem on the island you keep coming back to?

Hydronetta Beach, I love this little rocky beach because it overlooks the island, and it also has a beautiful café where you can relax by the water while enjoying a stunning view.

Where are you eating and what are you ordering?

Taverna Marina is a wonderful place to eat by the water, a Greek salad and grilled fish!

One item you always pack on a trip?

A good book to read by the water.

One thing you'd tell someone visiting the island for the first time?

Take your time and enjoy living at the peaceful rhythm of the island, here, there are no cars, everything is done on foot!

Hydra in one word?

Timeless.
